This is a largely autobiographical story of a small boy coming to Australia from Hong Kong with his sister and mother, a night club singer about to marry an Australian sailor.
The ins and outs of their lives are an emotionally depressing but compelling tale.
The voice of the boy seems authentic and the end, showing him now grown is quite entrancing.
A small personal film and a very worthwhile one.
