and fails too as a Comedy, if Spielberg had made more effort to aim at making it either one thing or the other it could have worked a lot better
Apparently a painstaking recreation of how Los Angeles looked at that time; even the plane John Belushi flies is the correct type with the correct markings for a coastal squadron in that area at that time
I'm a car buff and there isn't a single post-1941 vehicle in the whole film....
