Carl Reiner directed this amusing farce which stars Bette Midler and Dennis Farina. They play inimically divorced parents (each now remarried for the past 14 years) of a young woman who is getting married and against her better judgement has invited both and their spouses to the wedding. Sparks fly of curse but evntually are doused by other concerns. I thought that, given the type of film it is, it avoided the expected cliches that a Hollywood film would usuually include. A good movie to see one time.
Follow Ups:
where Dennis Farina asks the guys in the resturant to put out their cigar, good old fashioned old boy fun!
a decent flick - kind of corny
