Ingmar Bergman's "Monica" from 1953 is now playing at the IFC theatre in NYC. I caught it this weekend and was floored by its unpretentious portrayal of two young lovers whose romance is ultimately doomed. If you have a chance to see this...run, because it's only playing a few more days.
