story tracing a man's enduring passion through his lifetime as he struggles to succeed in business and then, once he attains his goal, to maintain his level-headedness.
Set in the lush Cabo Verde, the film also has terrific vocal performances by Cesaria Evora and features several female characters of other-worldly beauty.
Don't get me wrong, this film, even devoid of those two factors, still would be excellent.
