a film on the life of Bob Dylan told in a collage of images and sounds and stories from when he was a folksinger until the 70s (I imagine) when he divorced his wife (were they married?). Nothing is really clear in this film but it really does not need to be. Somehow I feel the essence of Dylan's life, or what I imagine it to be or what Todd Haynes imagines it to be. This type of information is blurred and maybe it should be. What greater icon to wax poetic about?
A surreal, thought provoking journey with great images (that jump from B&W to color depending on story) and music I am happy to have seen.
thanks
Phil
Follow Ups:
I liked it.
Never would have thought Cate Blanchett would have made a good Dylan, but she pulled it off :)
I think it gives an impression of the legend of the myth of the memory of the truth of the story of the young Dylan.
