It had no real substantive quality other than to use all the well-worn plot cliches.
The flying sequences were good but I still appreciate The Blue Max more for WWI flight.

is a pretty good film and its aerial sequences are excellent. Plot, dialog, and characterization are far better than "Flyboys" manages.Sadly, the newer film is yet another "cgi blockbuster" that fails to deliver. And it's far from the worst of the lot. (Need I mention "Alexander?")
