...my fave film of last year.
Director Julian Schnabel is/was a famous NY artist - paintings, sculpture and collage - prior to turning to film. I think he has found his metier in movies. TDB&TB is his best IMO - a very special experience. Schnabel also made Basquiat and Before Night Falls (with Javier Bardem).
