except tonight I rented "The Happening" and I wish I saved the $5 instead. At least I didn't pay $8 at the theater. All of the silly, low-budget, "B" movies aside...this was the worst POS that has ever been committed to film. There was absolutely nothing good to say about this. I really can't understand the thought process that HAD to have occured when everything was finished and, after viewing it, SOMEONE decided : "O.K...it's ready for distribution." I would be embarrased to have my name in the credits...Hell I'm embarrased that I even rented it.

The tv ads for the dvd seem to be trumpeting the fact that they've stuck the real gory stuff back in that was edited out for it's R rating. As if that will improve the actual movie. What amazing disdain for the audience-'the movie sucks, but you'll get to see a guy torn to shreds by a farm combine'. Nice...
