Van Johnson did some pretty good work. As you all know (probably) He was a big movie star at MGM during and after WWII. I liked him in "A Guy Named Joe,' '30 Seconds over Tokyo' and 'Battleground." I feel older and sadder tonight.

Indeed. Rest in Peace, Van. Many don't know you now, but you were one of the golden boys in the golden era.
He did have a long, good life, evidently, so that is really the best reward for the nice film moments he gave us.
