I don't know where the filmmakers are going to take the new series. A great Bond in a mediocre movie isn't very interesting, and too many past Bond movies aren't very interesting to me, no matter how good their Bonds.

I adore Connery, a close second - what a sexy, gorgeous thing he was. The movies have dated rather badly for me. Brosnan was/is charming. Moore was charming in his own way, but he seemed to be winking at the preposterousness of it all a bit, although he was generous enough to let the audience in on the joke. Dalton is great in other stuff, if not a great Bond. Not enirely his fault, as the movies surrounding him weren't that compelling IMO. Never saw Lazenby.
