How modern this film is! You see inspiration out of it in Inspector Columbo, never were Lean and Hitch so close, using some technique and actors ( John Laurie is only thirty seconds on but WHAT 30 seconds)
I remember seen it almost from the start, and not really liking it as for its ambiguity, I donīt love films or books or real life without answer, well I am childish..
But this time that end fit well in my mental world.
But the best " court " film will always, without doubt, remains " witness for prosecution "-
This one is unbeatable.
Unbeatable with a good cigar and an old brandy.

to the biography written by his last wife. It starred one of his first wives. He also did it for her. He was not that interested in it. Ray Hughes
"America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without an intervening culture." Frank Lloyd Wright
Well I read his autobiography but I can remember what he said about that film, but it do not matter
at all, as in the end we, the public must decide what is worth from what is not:
This one definitively is.
PS: A. Todd is not well photographed Hitch would and he did later made wonder.
