It is said that H-wood now puts 95% of its attention to the "teen/young adult" market. The game-boy crowd are used to non-stop action, non-real looking Fx.
"Let the Right One In;" "Gamorra;" "Waltzing with Bashir," the three best films I saw last year all were foreign efforts. I probably saw a good American film but sadly don't remember it.

not in art. Now it's on the same level with professional wrestling and pin ball amusement. Few intelligent films are made. If fact I think it died about 1972, about the time when the director as superstar era ended. Now directors are hired help. The mega movie companies only are after volume sales and the thing that will fill the theaters without much risk is that which appeals to the below 20 crowd. Ray
