The Guy Pearce character was one of the most compelling.
It's kind of like a song where there's an amazing riff but they only play it once or twice.

Follow Ups:
And yes, maybe I missed something, but,
After they come up on the British 1/2 squad with the flat, 3 brits are picked off in few minutes, obviously by a sniper. They determine the fire is coming from a small building 850 yards away.
In the interior shot from the hut it appears the insurgent sniper is using an AK 47. He's made 3 perfect shots (apparently without a miss), with an AK, from 850 yards. We're armed with a state of the art sniper rifle, and can't deliver a round within 5 feet from a perfect prone position. Admittedly the first two hits were with our guys having not located him yet, but still....
Didn't diminish my enjoyment one bit, excellent movie deserving of its raves.
