Goodbye Solo, from director Ramin Bahrani (you might have seen his Chop Shop), is a simple story of two men who meet in a taxi.
At opposite ends of live and representing two completely different ends of America, they find a friendship as each faces the problems of life.
This is an exceptionally worthwhile small film, beautifully shot and one that really is life affirming even as the film takes us elsewhere...
See it.
Follow Ups:
film by the magnificent Iranian director, Abbas Kiarostomi. "A Taste of Cherry" is one of the finest films in the modern canon and, were it by a director of any other nationality, it would so be widely known.
