I watched Billy Wilder's "One, Two, Three" (1961) with James Cagney while I was wrapping Xmas gifts tonight. I've never seen it before because I expected it was a lame 60s romantic comedy a la Doris Day. Damn, what a great, funny movie. It delivers one strong one-liner after another for two hours; bam, bam, bam! And Wilder wasn't afraid to assume his audience was smart. Makes today's "comedy" writers focused on adolescent coarseness and urinals look very lazy and none-too-bright. Audiences too. Also a time capsule from the time when everything American was seemingly golden. I strongly recommend it."We must beware of those who burn with zeal but are not endowed with much sense." - Angelo Roncalli

Horst Buchholst rabid East German commie was hilarious as I remember.
Share a bowl of grits with someone you love tonight.
Not that some of it isn't funny, only last year I saw... something I'm sure... but a lot of it seems something you could knock off after a boozy lunch in about 2 hours writing.
