Or that's what Vera Farmiga tells Clooney: "Think of me as yourself only with a vagina."
That about sums up Clooney and Farmiga's relationship in this "hardened guy meets match for accidental romance".
Clooney, in a movie for the moment, fires people for a living. He can do that with compassion and loves the lifestyle of living aboard an airliner. He meets Farmiga in a bar one night and they begin a spotty, see-you-on-the-road romance. Meanwhile, back at home office, the new girl on the block (Anna Kendrick) comes up with the novel idea of firing people via on-line video connection. Cuts travel costs but threatens to end Clooney's preferred lifestyle. After a impassioned plea to the boss, Jason Bateman, Clooney takes Kendrick on the road to get some real world seasoning before launching the new system.
Soon the three meet up for hijinks and Clooney takes Farmiga to his sisters wedding where they seem to make an emotional connection.
All this is well and good. Great script, laughs, tears, and emotion. Clooney is Clooney and is seems capable of actually showing vulnerability!
His romance with Farmiga will take a familiar if not predictable turn and he will once again return to the air after earning his 10M mile card.
Worth a see.

Farmiga is very good once again and Kendrik is fine (as the pseudo Ellen Page du jour)
well written but not inspired IMO...
thanks

Years ago I saw an interview where he was asked if he missed being a father and would he want to be one. His answer was so perfect that it would be my words as being an only-child bachelor! He said the idea of being a father or parent was not even in the "remotest" part of his mind and he expounded further. My kind of guy. No clock ticking there.
