"Ah. You see it is not the point of $5 BUT the way to educate our taste. To go higher and higher on the scale of acknowledge.
It has less to do with money but more with curiosity and passion."
I disagree. I, like many others, can fully appreciate more 'serious' films which are emotionally involving, challenging and thought provoking, but does this mean my educated taste cannot then enjoy a 'popcorn' film in a totally different way?
For me no, even though with every film I can find fault and with Avatar and of course I will have found the story as predictable as you and the dialogue 2-dimensional (if not the picture).
"My brain did not let the magic work on this film because the effect were to crude, but on some it did, and they are the lucky one".
It's not magic Patrick - it's a case of seeing the glass as half full instead of half empty, and not letting the faults detract from the bigger picture.
Today is a gift - that's why it's called the Present.

Well I tried and failed.
But let me tell you I am not the only one.
But who care, I did not enjoy it a bit.
You among many here could.
"But let me tell you I am not the only one."
No problem with that - I only have a problem when the 'ability' to enjoy certain films is attributed to intellect or a more educated pallet.
