A wonderful dark comedy from a little known Dutch director Alex van Warmerdam, which is probably not going to tell much. One of those films where several totally unrelated characters are tied in by some insignificant event or object.

One could easily and justifiably call it "strange", and one would likely spend a lot of time thinking about it afterward. There is plenty of very good humor, it is in parts disturbing, gloomy, very erotic, sad, and philosophical, with diverse characters. There is great deal of nudity, but my wife, who is usually quite intolerant of plastic gratuitous one, loved this film.

One reviewer draw a parallel with The Discrete Charm, and there is definitely that slight surrealistic flavor to it, without looking derivative.
