Tom Baker will always be *my* Doctor
But David Tennant (just before the current incarnation) was brilliant, really quite compelling. Christopher Eccleston was good as well. DW had something of a renaissance this decade, with good actors, good scripts, and better than average FX. Haven't seen the latest Doctor.
As much as I adored Baker, he could get OTT and hammy.
