Having slept on it, I have to say the movie is a total garbage, I am amazed how it got the recognition it got even in this country so atunned to slobbering, sentimental, purely imbecilic films.

I was further shocked to discover that it was based on a true story - makes me cringe looking at my countrymen and thinking of their tastes in books and films.

But then perhaps it was AuPh who bought all those idiotic books.

  When people wrote about this film I probably didn't pay any attention, as I already held a position based on other things...
  
  Getting old, I am lucky if I remember the good things in life! :(
