Taxidermia: Hungarian Twists

This is the story of three generations of the same family. The first story is of a humble, hair lipped orderly somewhere outside the battle front during WWII who is constantly being harassed by the lone lieutenant. The second story is of his son in 60's communist Hungary who is a world championship eater. (You'd better be immune to projectile vomiting.) The third is of his son who is anorexic and a taxidermist.

Yep, pretty strange. It's like Hungarian Jeunet with colorful photography, grotesque close ups, and unimaginable feats of gross activities. There is a lot of imagination burned up on this celluloid and good film buff would won't to experience it for it's art and craft.

Not something most would want to sit through but remember--it's for the art.

It is set in a small village in Hungary and filled with beautiful images and sounds (often closeup photography and the sound is close as well though none of the sounds is dialogue!). Surprisingly there is a story to it too. Watch closely. If you want something different and fun give it a try.
