What is wrong with the Teutonic brain and film making? This film is nothing but six home videos edited together. Six stories with very ugly people doing ordinary and humiliating things. Not compelling, not enlightening, not even entertaining. Worse is that it shows the ugliness of their personalities. How this won a Cannes Grand Jury Prize is bizarre.

I rarely turn off a DVD and I'm about to change that policy.
