I started watching it just as a time plug, or lack of any "better" prospects, but it turned out not bad at all, with two lead actors doing fine job, and some supports not falling far behind.
The plot, while not totally void of your typical cliche is still interesting enough to give you two hours of not too predictable viewing.
Particularly noteworthy is Mary McDonnell's performance with good deal of nuances. For some reason I never considered her a strong actress before.
Follow Ups:
Seeing David Strathairn was in EoB reminded me he was in this Film which was filmed a twenty minute drive West of me. As a Time Plug you can do worse. Strathairn seems to have a knack for coming across as highly personable able to let you feel him. I admit I didn't find him terribly compelling at first but he has a persistence which doesn't tire from insistence but can reward with an understanding of something genuine. I thought the film had an interesting enough story with turns to challenge the thought process.
