There is zero suspense. Less than zero. There is, in keeping with the latest trend to not offend teens, no real grown-ups' relationships--- his girl friend, though she's stunning and makes several moves on him, has the type of relationship of a guy buddy. The plot is simplistic to the extreme, and I'm a hater of overly complex plots that attempt to disguise a lack of meaning. So, how did this mess come to see the light of day? Mercedes-Benz. There are several interminable car chases. Interminable. All of them prominently feature various models of the Teutonic wunderkar. Hell, there even is a show-stopping moment when a Prince slowly uncoils himself from the interior of that God's chariot of the latest gull-wing M-B.
Bruno Ganz and especially Frank Langella have little trouble stealing every scene they have with Liam. The only suspense is in the scene between Bruno and Frank: now THAT's an actors' fight!
Under no circumstances, however, feel this makes the 2+ hours (guessing here; it actually felt like 3) worthwhile.
