What's the deal with "Sucker Punch"

Some of the special effects were pretty neat, and people seem to either love it or hate it. I personally found it boring and admit I fell asleep a couple of times watching it.

Is it worth going back for a closer repeat viewing?

From trailers looks like a Japanese inspired fan-service type movie. Sailor Moon on steroids. Pretty girls. Short skirts. Stockings. Big eyes. Big guns. Blond, Redhead, Brunette. Low angle camera shots. Formula complete!
