Whistler in 1972 was a small community. It was the village of Alta Lake and it seemed everyone knew each other. There was only two food stores-both small ones. Always ran into Nancy Green, Mccoskey, Seppo Makinin, and ski stars. Actually it was a bit more organic then. You had to do a lot of walking through snow.Quiet place in 1972---except at the lifts. I miss that olympic run.A 1/8 pipe that winded through the woods for 7 miles.

Sounds exactly like I would have imagined it to be back then. Not like that now, that's for sure.
