Dialogues between ALL characters sound like they were written by a person with very limited grasp of English - and I'm pretty sure they were (by Von Trier himself).

I was in a fleabag motel in Somewhere America, with a tv that had no sound. I tuned into this movie and thought it was great.
I watched all of the interplay, but heard nothing. As the object closed in, the people resorted to all kinds of escapist routines, showing their true character -- or lack of it -- as all behavior failed to supply an escape. Not just personal endings, but ending everything, is absolutely mind shattering.
The concept is brilliant. The ultimate what-if scenario that takes away all meaning and pretense. Every emotion, goal, personality, ... everything is stripped away in the face of ending everything.
The point is constantly driven home, again and again, as the object is periodically seen closer than the previous time. Finally, it fills the night sky.
I loved it, but again, no sound. It had an huge all-star cast.
