Been reading Connelly for years now, only came to Lee Child on a friends recommendation, and loan of
Bad Luck and Trouble. Hooked right away!
I don't think movies do either of their books a service. Lincoln Lawyer was good, but the book was outstanding. They changed Blood Work , even changed the Bad Guy! Connelly got back at them in the Sequel, in which
the characters in the Book complained about how they were portrayed in the movie!!
Anyway, will certainly rent the Reacher movie.
Follow Ups:
...The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy.
There are a nummber of other Scandanavian mystery writers who do similar stuff like Jo Nesbo and and Henning Mankell.
This past year, Gillian Flynn's "Gone Girl" and Stephen King's "11/22/63" were two of my favorites.
A crime/mystery novel by Icelandic author Arnaldur Indridason. My Icelandic mother-in-law gave me a copy. It's a good read and I liked the movie made from the book directed by Baltasar Kormákur. Here's a trailer for the movie:
