...yeah, it's starts off with a sniper killing a few random people which made me uncomfortable given the recent events.

Bad timing indeed for the release.

But once I got past that and Cruise's stature, the film captures the essence of Jack Reacher and the series of books.

Lot's of good action and some humor.

Highly recommended - the audience applauded at the end.
