This is another documentary available on itunes about the legendary Van Nuys recording studio Sound City. There is much to enjoy in this for music fans, recording buffs and even audiophiles. The analog vs digital issue is discussed. The Neve sound board used is a magnificent creation and was instrumental in making many classic albums such as Fleetwood Mac Rumors, Bat Bentar and Rick Springfield's hit LP. The Neve soundboard, cost the studio's owner twice what he paid for his Toluca Lake home at the time.
Particularly moving was the strong emotional connection that the artists and the employees had with this dump of a sound studio, with magic sound.
