...the sequals of comic book action films are rarely as good as the first.

By the time they get to #3, they have usually completely run out of ideas.

But I thought Gwyneth looked terrific.

I disagree, it's not about running out of ideas; it's more about the studio forcing its ideas into the script, creating an incoherent mess.
