...saw this new version of (Bruce Lee's mentor) Ip Man's story last night.
The cinematography is gorgeous, the score is lovely and the martial arts choreography is spectacular, reminiscent of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".
The love story reminds me a little of Dr. Zhivago, or maybe it's just the Northern China snow.
It's the first kung fu movie I could take a date to.
I'd give it a B.

better than most from this genre.
...and while I liked it, especially the fight scenes which seem more trueto the Wing Chun style, this one is a little different.More stylized, perhaps, and a better film.
