arrives in Tehran (a city of 8 million) searching for a job as a mechanic, but without any local contacts or friends to assist him. Slowly, he establishes himself, but his fierce independence and pride again begin to threaten him.
It is difficult to describe some Iranian films, including this one, because much of what occurs is internalized by the characters as they quietly react to outward stimuli. To some, it would appear that not much is happening, but if the viewer makes the effort to identify with the character, instead of to passively and detachedly expect to be entertained, he may have a powerful experience.
The actor also starred in another very interesting film, "The Hunter," and he is impressive, as much for what he does as for what he needn't.
