And he is laughing maniacally while running his fingers through his lucre. This is another slice of CGI magic that is not so magic. Most all the scenes were produced in the shade or in darkness. There was little true daylight action which is surprising compared to the earlier films. Perhaps he cut back the budget and needed to hide some detail work?If you've seen one you've seen them all and I now have ticket buyers remorse. There aren't a whole lot of different ways to dress up fantasy action and they were all used up in the first four films. Sure, kids "of all ages" will like it just because of what it is SUPPOSED to be. Those folks will go even if they announce poison gas in the air conditioning.
Have fun, buy lots of popcorn, and wait for the 'Interstellar' teaser trailer that says "This Time Next Year".

dozens of happy coincidences happen over and over during fight scenes (ala Spielberg) which gets tiresome quickly, but I like to see the story on film (after reading the books so many years ago) so I go anyway...
The books were good and unique, but the films didnt quite do it for me. Peter gave it a good try but just not enough anticipation of adventure like in the books. Im getting tired of cartoon like CGI. Seventh Voyage of Sinbad was scarier.
