I always wanted to post these pictures. From 1947 Hume Cronyn in "Brute Force" plays a sadistic prison guard and years later that character is reborn in The Green Mile by Doug Hutchison. I always thought it odd how similar they are in appearance and both are short, 5'6" at best. Clearly Hume was the inspiration for the Green Mile role. They play the same guy you love to hate.
