Blame it on sources of funding -- desire and fear on the part of investors. Desire to turn a profit on the original investment. Fear of not turning a profit. Wherever the money is, that's where the movies go.

We now seem to be living in a world largely controlled by 'bean counters'. Not just movies. Every aspect of life. Your job for instance. Has your company recently been purchased by an "investment group"!

I say it out loud. We are being run by the investment bankers of this world ..... and their stock holders.


1) And these are not necessarily honest professionals. Only the type interested in a near term profit.
2) stock holders (innocent folks) that depend on dividends to supplement their retirement.

To know the answer why everything is as it is today, just follow the money.
