I too would like Birdman and Keaton to snag them, BUT the Oscars historically favor...actors who play physically or mentally disabled characters of some kind when nominated...go figure...

Now, if Emmanuel Lubezki does not win for Cinematography for Birdman, that will be a crime...IMHO, not since the Shining has there been such a groundbreaking shooting, (Schindlers List as honorable mention)...excluding all the sci-fi/fantasy crap...Matrix...Gravity...300...yada yada yada...

I have not seen Whiplash either...
