His opinions are usually pretty practical and rooted in common sense, which is reflected in his comments on Scientology and religion in general. I've gotten into discussions before about the difference between a religion and a cult being based more on the age and general acceptance of the religion. Xenu certainly sounds laughable to an outsider, but to me a talking snake sounds just as silly.
