I can't believe I am saying this but it entertained.
You absolutely must leave your brain at the door because this movie has so many faults in it :) that it creates its own earthquakes.
But as these disaster movies go it was probably the best of the lot (which sure isn't saying much). But at least here they don't spend an hour and half of blather waiting until the very end to do the quakes. They moved the action along pretty much from the start middle and end - with walking dead quality dialog (argh) in short enough doses not to bore the hell out of you and boom - another quake. The Rock came ready to rumble in this one and didn't crack in the close-up "I have to act" parts.
