My wife and I comment on them often. They're fantastic down to the last detail. When one looks up the word, "Epic", the only necessary notation should be, See Game of Thrones.
We thoroughly enjoyed this season and, along with 4 friends with whom we watch ever episode on Sunday nights, can hardly wait til next April(?) for Season V to begin. Of course we will have us some True Detective starting next week to pass 10 weeks of that interminable wait with. Hopefully it can approach the greatness of Season I (anticlimactic ending and all).

Thanks RW
I intentionally left out the word "Epic", (don't like the word), but it truly fits...the big set pieces are great...but the detail in the small sets is just outstanding...it is hard not to appreciate everything that is framed in each shot...
I enjoy the grit and grime, when applicable, nothing is ever too pristine...Castle Black is just that black...
The geography and climate of each of the 7 kingdoms, in itself are characters...here in MN...we are north of wall...nothing but White Walkers for 8 months out of the year...
thanks again...
Mark
Part of what I enjoyed about True Detective...it is shot old school with 70 mm FILM...yes that's right actual Film...last years TD felt like it was a 70's film...Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry like...
