Critics are saying it is cliche ...and it is a bit, but kind of hard not to be with a boxing movie. This one has a bit of what I call "The Brian Piccolo Effect" ...there were some tears shed in the audience.

Gyllenhaal is wonderful and Forest Whitaker was good as well.

I liked it ...and so did my son. For us, a far more entertaining flick than MI5 (or whatever # it was).
