I had no idea what to expect and have been pleasantly surprised. Not perfect, with a few instances of the really bad decision making typical in comic based stories, but clearly worth the time.

I don't disagree at all. There are about 4 or 5 wrong turns just to drive the plot but that is probably still under par for the course. In any event the story telling and characterizations overcome any such difficulty.
