Squeamish and offended by violence, racism, and non-pc behavior? Who isn't?
I think this is what he is attempting: the best defense is a good offense. Full speed ahead into the jaws of what bothers you; no turning away; no flinching. Its an inoculation.
By wallowing in it, we come to see how futile, useless, and self-destructive all this is. It becomes comic (or tries to) so that we can see this stupid behavior and be more aware of it.
How effective this technique is in film, probably depends more on the viewer.

Yes, it could be that Q-Tip is simply catering to our need to view and confront our worst fears head-on. So that we might claim a sort of victory over them, having looked at them in a more objective manner - albeit from the safety of our roost in the audience?
It could also be that Q-Tip sees a sure way to turn a profit.
It could also be that Q-Tip is also trying to vent his own feelings of anger and disgust toward the human types that he'd like to see go away forever.
IMO, the above is mostly what the "gory horror" genre in films is mostly about. But, if the above statements are not true then one might be tempted to assume that *gory horror film* FANS are nothing but a bunch of *sublimated murderers and torturers* who get off on seeing that which they don't dare to do for themselves in real life for fear of social rejection and/or retribution.
