had given us the title. I searched Netflix and found it waaay down in "My List" so I watched it last night.
Probably the best film on this subject. Most of the "is Paris burning" films are painted in much broader strokes whereas this one explores the possible interaction that took place with two Knights of the situation. One a Knight of destruction under coercion and the other a Knight of peace with no other motive than to stop unnecessary violence and destruction.
When Dussollier mysteriously appeared I thought it Mephistoclean in nature but his intentions were quite the opposite. Aresttrup was excellent as a professional soldier with a worldly manner. I felt it a bit unrealistic that such a conversation, over a prolonged stretch of time, could have actually happened.
Regardless, Paris did not burn after a scintillating chess match of two minds separated by mission and motive. I really enjoyed this and enjoyed the detail of the plans to burn and drown Paris.

Now since- Is Paris burning we learnt more about the background of what really did happened and an Hollywood production will never match an intim theater like film.
I understand it did happen. Check it out on Wiki. It seems to be even more twisted---
I Had also a big part of fun watching this. Glad you did too.
