Imagine living out your music industry fantasies by piling into a van with your mates and playing at a succession of sleezy dives for almost nothing. Well, this gives you that warm fuzzy feeling in spades.
Anton Yelchin and his motley crew snag a lead to play at a clapped out venue deep in a Virginia forest. Once they arrive they find themselves in Skinhead City. They play their hard rock set then accidentally discover a murdered body in the green room. They are then locked in the green room until Darcy (Stewart) arrives to manage the disappearance of the witnesses.
There is plenty of tension and action but nothing you haven't seen 100 times before. Any kudos for this film must be coming from young'uns. No standout performances except by Stewart who gave a unwavering and menacing performance in a somewhat low-key fashion.
If you have an appetite for irrational panic, being eaten by dogs, and living far beyond the limits of disbelief then this is your baby.
