and not MOST of the period costumers which focus on splendor and artifice at the expense of the humans behind the stories. This is highly personal, to the degree that you can almost smell the interiors, which one would likely not enjoy.
There is a lot of throwing up. Up-close throwing up.
In spite of it all, there is some great story telling and character development to be found. The royal court was probably more like this, than not. Just don't expect a sanitized account.
