Saw it a while back and it was a powerful documentary. One of the best, I think. Well done and illuminating of the type of men who did these things. Schnaps was their best friend.

Schnaps and mental numbness. There was also an interesting sub-story about fairly widespread nervous breakdowns, including some high ranking commander, who was out of commission for months.
Very powerful... similar language confusion to Shoah, making it challenging in spots.
Speaking of mass murderers - there was a Russian woman machine gunner names Ton'ka, who took very active part in executions of Soviet prisoners, partisans, etc. She apparently killed over 1,500 people with her Maxim machine gun.
She was captured and executed after the war. She was real scum. Collected cloth and articles from the victims.
