with an older FW, 2.0.
FWIW, Universal did have a batch of bad discs for Good Sheperd, Hollywoodland and Children of Men. People sent the discs back to universal, and got functional copies.

That's strange, I wonder if this latest firmware contains a workaround that makes the faulty disks playable? Because it's playing okay now.

  Earlier FW updates, fixed unplayable/problematic discs.
