problems with my amp

hi

i am trying to connect a digital tv tuner to a denon avc-3030 syurround sound amp. I can fix up my dvd player easily but the tv tuner which works perfectly direct to the tv has a very poor picture when routed through the amp.
its not the cables its not interference any ideas ?

If you can route the sound only through the amp that is the eay to go. There is no reason to route the picture through it as this just adds another unnecessary loop.
